This is a personalised plan for weight and body composition management for adults:
- Body Composition Analysis,
- Truncal obesity assessment (trunk fat, visceral fat, waist circumference),
- Blood Glucose and Lipid Profile,
- Resting Metabolic Rate,
- Energy Balance Equation,
- Weight Management Plan.
The plan is based on the measurement of the Body Composition, Resting Metabolic Rate, and the calculation of the Energy Balance Equation. The Energy Balance Equation refers to the daily energy surplus or deficit resulting from the amount of energy intake through food and drinks, and the amount of energy expenditure through resting metabolism and daily activity level.
The Weight Management Plan allows to vary the calories from diet and the daily activity level in order to reach your goal over a given period of time. This type of weight management planning is based on calories counting method. An accurate lifestyle assessment including daily diet and activity level is very important in order to build the plan. It is helpful to keep a food and activity diary for a week on an average week, using a personal activity tracker and a calorie counting app on your mobile.
We can work with any type of preferential diet, however we recommend a varied diet type over the narrow specialist ones or meal replacements, in order to cover all the nutrient requirements. We recommend a gradual weight loss, using a medium calorie diet, over a rapid weight loss using low/ultra-low (crash) diets.
Our Weight Management Plan is not a supervised program. It requires implementation in one’s daily life and consistency in following it, for the duration of the program. We recommend employing either a Nutritionist or a Fitness Instructor to supervise the implementation of the weight management program in real life. For the more confident, we advise on how to self-monitor the progress, and what connected health devices to use for this purpose, in order to self-implement the weight management plan.
